Such a thing doesn't exist for the Wii. Anything non-official will probably damage your console, anyway.

If you want to get it 'chipped' so you can play illegal (yeah, ILLEGAL) ROMs, then shame on ya. If not, and like me you just want to play imported games like you can with the Ps3 and xbox 360,then hang fire, sir.

Nintendo's Wii is currently region-locked (like DVD players the world-over) BUT Nintendo are currently debating whether to change the situation. Seeing as their competitors don't strictly enforce region locking, and the region-free Nintendo DS is doing so well, I'd say it's only a matter of time before Nintendo give us the keys and let us buy whatever game we like from whatever country, which is the way it should be. No doubt this remedy will come in the form of a firmware update you can download for free or will be shipped with newer games (like the update that comes with Super Paper Mario)

Maybe hang fire for a month or two before you hack into your Wii and invalidate the warranty forever and ever (and ever).

I found a free download of Mario Forever here: http://bitly.com/1p0vRJD

Mario Forever is the restructured edition of the traditional arcade game Super Mario Bros. The gameplay is much like the same with the original Super Mario, in which you have to defeat the boss and bring the princess from his dungeon castle. In the last part of the stage is an evil dragon who is responsible for kidnapping the princess.

There are no official ones yet. However, there have been news about chips that would allow you to play out of region games and DVD's but these have not surfaced yet. Please keep in mind that generally you have to mod your own system and such changes void the warranty and any systems updates could void the chip or console or both.

The only modifications available at the moment are to play illegally pirated games.

The best way to chip your Wii is to throw it out of the window.

you can get the wii chippd im gettin mine done just waiting for the chip to arrive. the only thing is if the console goes wrong you cant send it back to be fixed you will have to get it fixed privately. but i suppose all the money you will be saving on games will be worth it. my sisters is chipped and the games play just the same.

if you get a chip DONT update

This is because nintendo can automatically detect the chip and shut your console down until you take it out

so if you do NEVER update if you want your console to work!
