Any alternative to the Rock Band Drum Set for Wii?

I have the stock Drum Set that came with RB1 for the Wii. It sucks. The pads are not responsive enough for me to hit rolls, and the bass pedal will randomly stop working in the middle of the song. What are the alternatives? Did I just get a bad Rock Band drum set? Should I rebuy the set? What do I do?

iv heard bad reports about rock band. i hear the pedals usual break so ur lucky enuf so far. all i can say is that on november the 7th guitar hero world tour comes out and that has all the equipment rock band has or you can get rock band 2
