I'm an employee at a Toys 'R' Us, and earlier I had a customer who was interested in purchasing a Wii for their child's Christmas present. It seemed like the sale was going well, the gentleman already knew he wanted to buy a Wii, it was just a matter of educating the customer about the product... Something I felt very capable of doing since I am a Wii owner.
I covered the basics of the system, and explained that as long as he had a wifi connection in his house he could access the internet channels from virtually anywhere within range. He was pleased, to say the least...
He asked if the wii was compatible with his son's DS, and I told him that in certain games it was, and that Nintendo offered select downloads through an internet enabled download to the DS.
However he wasn't satisfied with that... he said something about how he read of a Nintendo DS synchronization port on top of the system under one of it's hinged panels. I tried to tell him that I owned a system and had never heard of this before, but he apparently decided I was full of bologna and he would be better off buying one from somewhere who "wasn't going to lie to him."
After an over dramatic exit the sale was lost to us and I was left wondering if there was such a thing a synchronization slot?
