Nintendo Wii...Can someone school me please?

Question

We're thinking about buying this for my son as a "big brother present" only...I know nothing about it.

I don't know what comes with it, I don't know what a "good" price is, I don't know what peripheral components I need to buy with it.

All I know is that we need the balance board to play the snow boarding.

What's the dirt on the Wii?

Gosh, I didn't know what I was missing. And I know that I am still kinda clueless about it. To save money, I let my gym membership go, and bought the Wii Fit. It is so much fun, and it is exercise. The one we bought came with Wii Sports, which has about 5 or so sports themed games on it. Bowling, tennis, ... It also came with one controller and nunchuck (sp). Alone it was $199.00. We bought the Wii Fit separately. It came with a scale/balance board and about 50 types of cool games/exercises. It also weighs you, and tracks your progress. The Wii Fit was another $100. I know there are limitless other games to buy. There is a dance one that just came out, and I really want Mario Cart. The one suggestion I have is to spring for an extra controller if you can.



The snowboarding is part of Wii Fit, and you need the balance board for it...but it is included when you buy Wii Fit.

You can pick it up on-line new for $180. Don't pay over $200 for new. This comes with one Wii controller only and only the Wii Sports game. You will need at least one other Wii controller. The balance board is $80 to $100 online. The go wild with games which run $20 to $50 usually depending on the game

We got a Wii for Christmas from my in-laws. It cost $199 and came with the sports game and one controller. We bought a second controller, which cost $50 and the Mario Kart game, which cost $50. That's the only 2 games we have and we are very happy with it. It's really fun to play, even for my 2 year old.

Are you talking about the console?.. That comes with Wii Sports and average price for it is now $200, although you may be able to get it somewhere for $150. If that was your question. (about the system)

It does not artwork. yet we've a gaggle of video games. I nevertheless have my old college interest Boy, too. yet I in particular use my PSP. until Mario can grab an AK-forty seven, the PSP's gonna get extra use.
