Well, I am looking forward to buying an Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS Lite or Nintendo Dsi. If i don't get the Nintendo Wii then I will get the PSP 3000 instead. Since the Nintendo Wii is now $199.99 i am looking forward to buying one. But, I have a little problem. Since the Nintendo Wii is now $199.99 i am afraid that since the price is low they might lower the price next year to $99.99 and then when it is at $99.99 or $149.99 then that would be a sign of Nintendo releasing a new system in a year or maybe two years. Now, if they make a Nintendo Wii2 or a Nintendo Wii HD then i would not mind if i get the Nintendo Wii right now because it is like someone having a Nintendo DS and upgrading it to a Nintendo DS Lite or Nintendo Dsi. So if a new Nintendo Wii upgrade is going to be released then i don't mind. But, if they are going to make a whole new thing, then i would mind. Then i would be mind if i get the Nintendo Wii right now and didn't wait for the next generation Nintendo or Xbox or Playstation. Please explain your answer in very strong detail. Also, explain your answer. Anyway, thanks to everybody who answers this question.

A a brand new gaming console shouldn't be coming from Nintendo until around 2012 or 2013 at the earliest (if even that early).

The main reason Nintendo lowered the price on the Wii is because Nintendo is a business, and since Sony and Microsoft had lower prices, it to lowered its prices to compete.

Xbox 360 has project Natal coming out eventually and ps3 has something (I forget what it is). I've heard that Nintendo is supposed to be releasing the Wii in different colors and with some kind of enhancements. This basically means that this generation is still going to be here a while.

So buying a WIi should be a pretty safe decision for now.

Wii is the main offered device. New structures come out each 5-6 years, so the subsequent technology of structures will come out in approximately 2010-2011. Wii's final approximately 2-3 years, so i think of that is a solid purchase, basically basically be sure you will like it. As dumb as this sounds, do a touch analyze on it.

Nintendo has confirmed they will not release any new hardware until 2012. So you've got plenty of time.
