Just buy it, its really not that expensive. You cant get it for free, unless you do some serious mods to your wii, which cost loads and voids you warranty.

A bit of history on the Wii: The Internet Browser Channel was absolutely free to download straight to the Wii up until September 2007. Since then, it is available in the Wii Shop Channel for a mere 500 Wii Points.

Wii Points can be purchased through online stores and in shops, and are sold in groups of 2000 Wii Points (£20 worth in the UK). In the UK, every Wii Point is worth 1p, and in the US a Wii Point is worth 0.01USD.

So you can spend 500 Wii Points on the internet Channel in the Wii Shop Channel by entering the code on your Wii Points card, or alternatively, you can buy the Opera Browser for the Wii.

Both of these methods require Internet access - usually wireless as well.

Opera is the only browser available for wii, and was free only to those who downloaded it within the first few months, I don't think there are any plans to add any other web browsers to the wii.

the only thank you to get the opera browser now could be to purchase it. Had you been lots quicker, Nintendo became giving it out unfastened for some months after the launch of the Wii. i'm to uncertain approximately hacking, yet then, you shouldn't be asking a thank you to hack your Wii at here. in any different case stable luck.

The Opera Browser is no longer free as of June of last year...the only other way to get it might be if someone sends it to you from their wii system mem./sd card and that might not even work...hopefully this is helpful...

The Internet Browser is no longer free. Your only possible chance of getting it free is if your friend has it, he loads it from the system onto an SD card and then you transfer the channel to your system. I don't know if this will work since I've never done it. I'm guessing it won't work since it doesn't work for games.
