Can the Game Cube play Wii U games?

Okay, I ve read somewhere that the Wii u can play Game Cube games, but can the Game Cube play Wii u games? Or are the Wii u game disks too big for the Game Cube system. I ve never tried to use other games with different systems, so...help would be much appreciated. Thank you!!

Of course not. The GCN used mini DVDs whereas the Wii U use standard sized discs.
