I just bought the usb wi-fi connector and had a nightmare time getting it working, had to call nintendo and found out that they have been discontinued because they are 'unstable'. just wondering if I buy a game from the shop channel while the usb wi-fi is working, and then the connection goes down, can I still play the game without the internet connection?

Once you download the full game into your console then no you will not need a internet connection to play it. However you have to have a internet connection to download the game into your console. If it is half way downloaded and not complete if your internet goes down then you would have download it again until it is done.

If you download it once, you don't need to use the internet for that game again. Internet connection is not even possible on most downloadable games.

as quickly as you acquire the offered digital titles from the Wii save Channel, you will have the skill to play maximum human beings of them without requiring internet get admission to to get exhilaration from them. the main reason I say maximum human beings right here is that there are a handful of WiiWare titles (like Alien overwhelm Returns) that tries to flow on line once you start up the game. whilst there isn't any internet connection, it reasons undesirable delays as you will desire to anticipate it fail earlier proceeding to the game. besides the fact that if, it fairly is the massive minority of titles. all the DRM keys on your digital titles are saved on your Wii save account (that's shielded from device reformats, so which you would be able to re-acquire those titles), so as that they are going to run on your Wii. subsequently, what you're asking approximately is accessible & VERY DO-able. So go forward & get exhilaration from!
