Mario kart wii racing error code?

I was playing online battling and suddenly I was disconnected for no reason at all. When I tried to reconnect it said: Nintendo Wi-Fi connection service has been discontinued. Visit support.nintendo.com for a list of current nintendo Wi-Fi connection software. Error Code: 20110

When I visited the website and looked up the error code it said: There appears to be a temporary issue with the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Our technicians are currently working to resolve this problem. Please try your connection again later.

wifi is down everywhere. i called technical support and they said it should be working again by friday but i hope its sooner than that i need to get on cod5. if not then its back to the 360 for me

Yeah, I was trying to play 007 quantum of solace and I got that message when trying to connect. Other game I can play though like call of duty but I get it when trying to access Mario Kart as well :(
