Trying to sync the wii balance board & remote for Wii Fit?

I just got a wii fit today, and I'm at the part where you have to sync the balance board with the remote. I tried everything, I pressed the sync buttons at the same time, I tried doing the balance board first, then the remote first, but NOTHING is working. The screen just keeps saying "Communications with the wii remote have been interrupted." I don't know what to do and it's getting pretty freaking annoying. :(
How do i do it?

There is no "syncing the balance board with the Wiimote"....both of those sync to the SYSTEM, not each other.



First, sync your Wiimote to your Wii and load up Wii Fit. When the screen instructs you to, simply sync the balance board with the system and you're all set - nothing else to it.



The balance board and the wiimote CAN'T actually sync to each other so you must have just been a little confused.
