I have Installed Homebrew with letterbomb

I have installed ios236 restoring trucha bug

I have installed d2x ios v6 and installed ios249 into slot 248 and 247

I have USBloaderGX v3.0 in the apps folder of my sd card

when i load up usbloader with a usb device in the slot closest to the edge my wii freeze's on the gx screen loading ios

when i load up usb loader with a usb device in the other slot it fails to find a usb device.

I tried both with my drive in fat and wbfs formats.

I am using a flash drive not a hdd.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

I have followed the steps that TStodden listed in a similar question to no avail.

someone please help i want to play wind waker so badly!

To further assist you here...

1) Check the device compatibility list at http://wiki.gbatemp.net/w/index.php?title=USB_Devices_Compatibility_List -- Not all USB devices will work

2) Leave the USB drive in FAT32 OR NTFS -- There's absolutely no reason to format the drive to WBFS as USB Loader GX v3.0 supports PC-native formats. For Flash drives, stick to FAT32 (as they're designed to be usable with all computing devices). USB HDD's generally work better in NTFS format, but you can't utilize the space for homebrew apps (although well designed homebrew apps can access files stored on NTFS formatted drive... so it's not total loss).

3) Install cIOS 249 using D2X v10 works well -- In fact, it helped fix some of the minor problems I had with a few games running an older version of cIOS 249 (w/ D2X v8).

Finally, if you're salvaging PC HDD's, I will note that a IDE/SATA-to-USB adapter kit (like the one found at http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/dd1a/ ) does work... assuming you turn the power on the drive PRIOR to loading USB Loader GX (& I can personally attest to it's functionality). It may not look pretty, but it's highly functional.

Hopefully this will get you in the right direction, but you can always visit http://www.gbatemp.net for additional assistance, as they tend to lend support for all of this.

First off why use the v6 d2x when v8 is last stable release and the v9 or v10 betas are well tested?

Also, for GX get beta 3.0 r1218 from here, http://code.google.com/p/usbloader-gui/issues/detail?id=1769#c3352 (just take that boot.dol and paste it into GX app folder. You could edit your .xml file to show 3.0 r1218 as version but not necessary)

WiiHacks guide, http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-faqs-guides-tutorials-only/96886-guide-softmod-any-wii.html , has d2x v8 in its modpack or ModMii, http://modmii.zzl.org/ , can build the beta versions on your PC. Install ModMii on computer use the ModMii shortcut (not ModMii Skin), goto download page 4, type beta, choose what version you want (I use the v9 [r49], option 3), then back on DL pg4, type 24956 and press enter, then 25057 press enter, with those marked type d to continue to download. ModMii will save them as .wad to transfer to your SD card then install with a wad manager like MMM or WiiMod. (Reload/change IOS to 236 for installation).

Even without a USB drive attached, GX 3.0 should still load to its launcher screen and show you the channels stored on your SM.

Once homebrew is installed, go to the usbloader gx website, download the folder, put it in the apps folder on ur SD and then run it thru homebrew channel
