Do i need to play these in order for their story or is each one independant?

They are story independant, like most FF games. The two Crystal Chronicles games take place in the same world, but a significant amount of time apart.



There are also the two WiiWare games FF Crystal Chronicles: My life as a King and FF Crystal Chronicles: My life as a Darklord, neither or which are traditional japanese RPGs. My Life as a King is more of a nation-building Sims-style game, while Darklord is sort of a cross between the old Dungeon Keeper PC games and Plants vs Zombies.
