Will they Wii, actually Nintendo, ever upgrade the browser to better support sites with flash, etc... My kids love to go to cartoonnetwork.com nick.com & nickjr.com but can't fully utilize the sites because of the limits that the "opera" browser on the Wii has. Some games & video can be played, but not all. It is great for regular internet browsing and such, but I thought being a "Nintendo" when it comes down to it they would have formatted it to go to these types of webpages. If anyone could please shed some light on this it will be appreciated.

nintendo is always coming out with new updates so they will most likely add these things because they know that if they want to give the internet option to the wii that people will want to use flash and all the other down loads that come with the wii.

The Wii probably could just about handle this, so i guess it may be updated. BUT some of the things your child is trying to access may be written specially for a PC or Mac, and can therefore not be used on te Wii.

For example if you want to play a game on the internet on the Wii, it must be a version of the game written for the Wii.

Go to the Wii shop. Under Wii Ware is a new version of the Opera browser. Also keep up on updates.

The only things that you can download on the internet from your wii are wiiware games. Wiiware games are exclusive wii games you can download....they are usually 5,8,12 or 15$..those are the only things you can download from your wii on to an SD card. Just make you have the latest update on your wii to do that

yeah that was the thing that i did not like cause you cant always do those kind of things but the probability of nintendo making an upgrade is very little
