ok, my gamecube controllers Joystick (sorry if i used the wrong word) always seems to mess up at times, like for instance if im not pressing anything it seems to think im pressing down. So i was wondering since Gamecube and Wiimote D-pads seem to be the same. Could i play a game that is compatible with the wiimote and gamecube controller by just using the gamecubes D pad? I plan on removing the joystick all together. Thanks

Not all games will let you substitute the D pad for the analog stick. Are you touching the analog stick at all when you plug the controller in and turn the system on? If you accidentally hold the analog stick in any direction while you're turning it on, it will mess up all the directions.

i don't think there are games but naruto: clash of ninja revolution allows you to hold the wiimote sideways and then use the wiimote's d-pad

otherwise, you could try unplugging the gamecube controller while you're playing the game and see if that resets it or not

Im not quite sure what teh question is, but I don't see why not, also, it's more widely known as "analog stick"

hope this helps!
