I have the proud owner of a Nintendo Wii but would love to find out how to get it connected tot the web and try out all the features I have not yet used.

In my house at the moment we have a pc running Vista, which has broadband which we get via a modem.

How can I use this to connect up my wii is it possible? Is there any extra Wii parts i need to buy to get this working?

Does it work with Vista ok??

Im totally lost - the manual makes no sense to me as i dont know what a Wired Network or a Lan Adapter etc is lol

please help i wanna go on line with my Wii!

Thanks xxx

Danny s your stupid you can connect to the internet with the wii.

You could buy a router......

But you could buy a nintendo wifi connector. It takes the place of a router and its not that expensive. You basically follow the set up. Then you go to your wii. Go to the settings. And then find the wii connection. Then you will be able to use the shop, new, weather, everyonevotes and internet channels. Just follow the set up and it will work.

BTW: It doesnt matter what type of os (operating system) you have. so it could be vista, xp, 2000 or OX

once you get online add me to your address book. My friend code is 3771-2995-6321-2709. Then send me your friend code.

Well, you gotta go to the main screen and click on options (or something similar). There's gonna be some crap on that screen but eventually you'll find a place for internet connections. It will ask you if it's wired or wireless, as well as some other system things (like passwords and the name and the type). It will look for a connection and, once it does, upload any upgrades (don't worry, they're free; it's weather, news, the shopping channel, and maybe an internet channel).

Difference between wired and wireless depends on the modem. If your modem has antenna-like things on it, it's wireless. If your modem is plugged into everything, then it's wired.

i've got used the internet on the wii for variety of three years and ive in no way had or seen any viruses on a wii or my wii. There are extremely no cons different than you need to get a on the spot community or have it under pressure out.

Your best bet is to purchase a wireless router. they will run ya about $50 at walmart. I purchased a router last night and had it installed and running in less than 5 minutes. I would suggest the Belkin Wireless G plus MIMO Router. It comes with its own software to install the router. Once you have your router installed just follow the instructions in the wii manual or on screen instructions to hook up to the Internet via a wireless router. It is very simple...
