The Wii package includes:
* The Wii console itself
* One Wii Remote Controller (aka "wiimote")
* One Wii Nunchuck Controler
* A plastic stand for the Wii to be positioned vertically
* A sensor bar that sits upon (or in front of) your television
* All cables (A/V and power) needed to get it up and running
* The Wii Sports five-in-one game disc
The Wii Sports game includes: Wii Bowling, Wii Tennis, Wii Baseball, Wii Golf, and Wii Boxing. These are all relatively simple (yet fun!) games that really give you an overview of the capabilities of this new wireless controller system. The Boxing game is the only of the five that requires the Nunchuck controller - the other four all just need the wiimote. Golf and Bowling can be played by multiple players sharing one controller. Baseball can be played single player against the CPU or against another human if you purchase a second Wiimote. Tennis can be played against the CPU single player, or against and/or with up to three human companions if you buy three extra Wiimotes.
In addition to the Wii games available for purchase, you can use GameCube games directly with the Wii, as well as the Game Cube controllers that will plug directly into the Wii. You can also download older games that were originally released for the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and N64 if you have an internet connection in your home (the Wii has a built-in wireless network adaptor - if you only have wired internet, you'll need to buy a ethernet cable to connect it).
