Freeloader won't work with any firmware over 3.2 - but... the good news is, if you can softmod your Wii with the Homebrew Channel - use Backup Launcher Gamma instead.

It does the same if not 100% better than Freeloader and it works on every game and will not ever ask to update.

Datel sure didn’t keep its promis, the Wii Freeloader was said to be future-proof and wouldn’t get killed by future updates. With Wii firmware version 3.2 Nintendo found a way to kill Datel’s Wii Freeloader. Now Datel is advising us not to upgrade if we still want to use our Wii Freeloader on our Wii’s.

For 99% of all users they will not be effected by the new firmware 3.3 upgrade providing that they do not upgrade their console and follow / continue to follow correct loading instructions for the Freeloader, as clearly outlined in manual. The Freeloader should be used / loaded for all games from all regions and should not be used just for import games only… I repeat the Freeloader should be used when loading any games from any country or any region. For example if you live in Germany you should still use Freeloader when loading German games and also Freeloader should be used when loading import games. Freeloader should be used on ALL video games from anywhere in the Univerese

Im sorry to hear your problem but your doomed just get a new wii

Google for "Wii Firmware Downgrade." You'll need to be able to run mods/homebrew channel in order to be able to downgrade, but obviously, your Wii is not bricked (which would be when you can't play ANY discs and can't update, certainly not the case) and your Wii is NOT doomed. Buying a new one is the easy (and expensive) way out. Doing it via homebrew does take some time, research, and some brainpower.

I can't vouch for any particular link but I have heard of this before. You have "bricked" your unit. Yahoo "Wii brick" and you will find a variety of methods to unbrick your system and protect against it.

Good luck!
