I also agree that getting the rechargeable Ni-MH batteries is a better option than the charging dock which is used for charging the Wiimote exclusively.
At least those rechargeable Ni-MH batteries are not restricted in their usage. You can also use them in other electrical appliances that accept AA sized bateries.
Anyway nowadays the charger for those batteries are powered by various means.
If you get those powered by USB, you can charge via your Wii console while you play, provided that you have spare set of batteries.
If you get those powered by solar panels, it does not even cost you a dime to charge your batteries when you have good weather.
Last but not least, there's still the good old trusted AC powered charger.

DON'T buy a Wii Remote charging dock. Those third-party products are rip-offs. They work fine for the first few months, and then they become "stale". They won't charge the Wii Remote any more. The Wii Remote will start to lose its charge when it's not even in use, eventually the Wii Remote becomes unable to hold a charge.
The best option would be to get rechargeable Ni-MH batteries, as they do not go stale and can also be used for things other than the Wii Remote. Here's one from Futureshop:
It's a good investement because Wii Remotes do seem to eat up batteries. It's worth the money. I've been using these things for over half a year now and they've been working great. I highly recommend them.

Buy a Wii-mote Charging Dock from Gamestop or any other store that sells Wii products. You'll end up paying about 20 or 30 bucks for it, but it'll end up saving you hundreds.
