If this helps: My Wii is in the basement, so that might affect the connection, I don't have a LAN adapter or whatever, and some of the error codes I get are 5011, (I think)

1. You can't connect to wired internet if you dont have the adapter

2. Wii will only connect to wireless internet if you dont have the adapter

3. I have wireless internet, and my Wii is in the basement.

a) in the bottom right corner of the main screen click Wii

b) Click Wii Settings

c) click the left arrow on the screen until you see "internet" in the menu

d) Click "Connection Settings"

e) Then Click Connection 2 | None

f) Click Wireless Connection

g) Click Search for an access point

h) Click ok

i) click your network name

j) click on the pasword field and type in your password, click ok

k) click ok again

l) "Do you want to save these settings" [ok]

m) Click ok again ( it will say testing connection settings)

n) If it connected it will say

The connection was successful.

Perform a Wii System update now?

Wii support code: *****

If you put in the wrong password it will say:

Error Code: 52031

Unable to connect to the internet. Please see the Wii Operations Manual or Visit support.nintendo.com for assistance.

"OK"

***I searched online, there cant be an error code 5011 on support.wii.com*** it said:

* Try adjusting the "Channel" your wireless router broadcasts on. We highly recommend setting your wireless router to either channel 1 or 11. This can potentially increase the download speed. For information on accessing your router's settings, click here to select the brand name and model number of your router (if available).

* Check your router's broadcast settings to find out if it is set to "G", "B", or "Mixed." Mixed typically works best, but try all three to see if it improves the network connection to the Wii console.

* Make sure that any other interfering devices, such as microwaves and cordless phones, are turned off. Wireless keyboards and mice may also cause interference.

My first instruction are for setting up a new wireless connection

I hope i've helped you today

My suggestion would be to call nintendo (1-800-255-3700)

I had the same problem and they walked me through it

In order to get mine to work I had to change the router to channel 9
