You're modem is fine. The Wii connects to your router, not your modem. Do you have a wireless router?

i do no longer think of that DSL modem has on the spot equipped-in, so as that would have been your first subject, you have got been attempting somebody else's on the spot with a vulnerable sign. you rather would desire to purchase a on the spot router: they are basic to establish, you will no longer would desire to alter your cable between your computer and Wii whenever you opt to apply the internet on the two, and that they are notably much less high priced, you will desire to get one for on the brink of what the Wii LAN Adapter expenses. to respond to your question nonetheless, in case you purchased the LAN Adapter, it would probably be as user-friendly as connecting the modem to the adapter by using using a cable, verifying the settings on the Wii and going. CAT-5 community specification is a hundred meters, so the Wii does no longer would desire to be on the brink of the modem with a view to be good, as somebody else stated, yet a hundred meters is the "known" max earlier errors initiate happening.
