I know the classic controller for Wii is used mainly for the Virtual Console but it can be compatible for some Wii games like Mortal Kombat and Super Smash Bros. Brawl when it is released...does anyone have a listing of games that allow the classic controller as an optional choice for control and do you think all future games will be an option thing?

Only on some games. Most of the time, you can only use the Wiimote. I know that there is a Dragonball Z fighting game that let's you use the classic controller. As for Super Smash Brothers Brawl, you will be using the Gamecube controller, just like in Melee.

Of those you listed I only have New Super Mario Bros Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess (Game Cube version). Those are all awesome, I'm over 30 and I tend to cling to the classics. I don't like the over-used socialist punishment of those who do well in Mario Kart Wii, but I still enjoy the heck out of it. I'm not a very big fan of the Wario games, they don't appeal to the way I think. As for controllers, other than the standard Wii affair I do have a classic control and a fighter joystick, but I've found the PS2 to GameCube adapter to be one of the best options, I use my Logitech PS2 controls for classic games.

If you have a gamecube controller, then you do not have to buy a classic controller as anything that works with the classic also works with the GC controller.

I don't think you even need the classic controller, I heard the gamecube controller will work, just get the wireless wavebird controller.
