I want to bring my Wii with me. I will also have my laptop, its chill mat, my digital camera, and charger for my laptop. Will the Wii, and I'm also bringing two of my wii remotes/wheel and a gamecube controller, fit in my backpack with the rest of that stuff? I don't want to risk putting it in my luggage cause it might get broken, stolen, or lost (last december the airline I was riding lost my luggage when I was returning home.) So I don't want to risk that. Will the Wii or sensor bar get broken while going through the X-ray? Will security confiscate it or something? Will I have to take it out of my bag like I had to with my laptop on previous trips? What about the games? Should I just put the discs in one of those dvd holders and then put it in my carry on?

Thanks.

My brother brought his Wii and laptop on the plane with him when we went to visit our grandparents. He had it all in a really small duffel bag and put it in the overhead storage while his laptop and game boy were in his backpack. You're allowed two carry-ons when getting on a plane so it worked out. He was afraid of his stuff getting stolen too and they checked it through an x-ray and it was fine. He had to take it out of the bag just like his laptop. His games were in a CD case along with some the DVDs we watched on our laptops.

Ashley is correct, and I've done the same thing, taken a Wii through as hand luggage. Take it out of your backpack and put it in a bin on its own, like you have to with your laptop, to go through X-ray. Just handle the sensor bar carefully, and it will be fine. Discs will also be fine, and can probably stay in your backpack. The DVD holder is a good idea to reduce space needs.

The last time I went on a holiday, I took my Wii (with all cords, games and controllers) with me all in one bag, and it was small enough to be taken on as hand luggage.

As long as it's not too big, then it will be fine to take on the plane. The Wii doesn't take up much space, anyway.

A worthwhile investment may be buying a travel bag that is specifically designed for the Wii. I had to fly to chicago last week and i bought one - yes, it was a little bit expensive - about 40 bucks - but i found it really worthwhile because it held the wii in place and gave me the extra piece of mind.

That is an example of a wii travel bag that i was talking about. i didn't buy mine from online, because i needed it in a rush, so i just went to future shop, but you can find some pretty good deals online if you look around for a sturdy but cheap bag.

it's best to bring it on as a carry on. IF you checked it w/ yout luggage, it might not be there when you get to your family's house. baggage people tend to open your luggage & steal things more than you would think. people take laptops as carry on all the time, a wii should be no different. i know they won't let you through with liquid items....... they once confiscated my TOOTHPASTE cause they said it was liquid.

No, so far, I know you can't hook up a wii with all the equiptment everywhere, if thats true that it got stolen, dont take another risk. okay?
