Can I use 4 Wii U pro Controllers to play Mario Kart 8?

Currently I'm using the gamepad plus one wii u pro controller already. Was about to buy another but the sales person said it only supports the gamepad plus ONE wii u pro controller, which seems ridiculous to me.

Anyone out there able to use 3-4 at a time?

yes, we do that all the time. you don't need to play with the Wii-U touchpad controller at all.



at the title screen: put the Wii U touchpad down, and start the game with one of the CCs. then the other 3 CC players join normally.



(you can also do single-player with CCs or Wiimote+Nunchuck or whatever. again, just use that controller to start from the title screen.)
