The wii is the console. It usually comes with one remote, and it may come bundled with a game, depending on where you purchase the Wii. Mine did not come bundled with a game, I had to purchase one separately. If you have internet at home, you can hook the Wii to your network and buy some games (including most of the old Nintendo games like the original Super Mario Brothers) online!

Ok You First Need A Wii.Then You Just Need One Remote,And Some Batteries Because The Wii Remotes Run By Batteries. You Will Have To buy Games in The Store,Like If You Wanted To Play Super Smash Bros Brawl,You Will Need To Go To The Store And Buy The Game Case. After You Buy It You Put The Disc In The Wii Move The Point The Wii Remote At The Game And Then Press The A Button Then Just Press Start in then bottom then when You Press It You Just Play The Game. Also You Can Play Online on Some Wii Game. But Must Have Connect Wifi on the wifi.

you buy the wii, which is the console. it comes with the wii remote and nunchuck controllers, the sensor bar and everything else you need to set it up to play, and a free game, Wii Sports. you will need to buy additional wii games from the store. only some games require the nunchuck to be used with the wii remote, not all of them. on the top right of the back cover, it will show you a picture of either a blue wii remote and nunchuck, or a picture of just a blue wii remote. some of the most popular wii games you might want to consider are super mario galaxy, legend of zelda twilight princess, super smash bros brawl, mario kart wii, new super mario bros wii, rayman raving rabbids, mario party 8, mario and sonic at the olympic games, wario land shake it, a boy and his blob, donkey kong jungle beat, call of duty world at war, and metroid prime 3 corruption. along with the regular wii games, there are also virtual console and wiiware games. virtual console and wiiware games can be purchased from the wii shop channel with wii points. you first have to buy a wii points card from your local gamestop or ebgames store, which costs like 20 bucks and comes with like 2000 wii points, or you can use your credit card on the wii shop channel to buy wii points. select the box that says wii shop channel on your wii menu screen. then you will have to connect your wii to the internet in order to access the wii shop channel. after you connect your wii to the internet, you can then buy virtual console and wiiware games with your wii points card, or use your credit card to buy wii points. after you buy each game, it will start to download into a box on your wii menu screen, where you would go there and select it to play. virtual console games are original old school classics from the nintendo entertainment system (NES), super nintendo entertainment system (SNES), nintendo 64, sega genesis, and other systems including the three super mario bros, all three donkey kongs, all the mega mans, pac man, galaga, kirby's adventure, adventure island, wonder boy, doctor mario, and hundreds more. you can go back and relive the good times. some wiiware games include the bit trip series of bit trip beat, bit trip core, bit trip runner, and bit trip void, cave story, crystal defenders, diner dash, defend your castle, castlevania the adventure rebirth, bloons, final fantasy crystal chronicles, final fantasy four the after years, phoenix wright, tales of monkey island, bejeweled 2, family tennis, mini golf, car racing, and pirate party, and hundreds more. your wii can also be used to search the internet without going to your computer. it can also be used to watch movies and tv shows from netflix. so there you have it. that's the wii.
